It’s always heartwarming to hear stories about rescued or adopted bait dogs. These are my personal favorites that I love to share. But, I think it’s crucial to watch this video as it shows how these poor dogs are found. By sharing this video, we can create awareness about the cruel and inhumane lifestyle they endure before being rescued. It also highlights the need for stricter laws against dog fighting globally.

Tom McPhee, who serves as the Executive Director of the World Animal Awareness Society (WA2S) and is also the Producer Director of the American Strays series, joins Michigan Humane Society Officers on a mission to uncover dogs being used to bait fighting dogs. The team captures footage of the appalling conditions these canines are subjected to, including broken bones, untreated wounds, tied lips, maggots, and malnourishment.

According to Jenny Jackson, a Michigan Humane Society Officer, dog fighting is a year-round issue that they have to deal with. The individuals involved in these fights are usually young kids who take pit bulls and tie them up in abandoned areas or parks to fight. These dogs are not given proper care, such as medical attention, food, water, or shelter. They are often left to fend for themselves and are forgotten about.
