“Canine Commuters: Pups Take Public Transit and Win Over the Web”

An Alaskan family who runs a dog-walking business has gained popularity on the internet after they posted a video of their doggy “daycare” bus. Mo Mountains Mutts, which is managed by a husband-and-wife team, said that they never planned on starting a business but it evolved naturally over time. According to Mo Thompson, the founder, she began transporting her clients on her bike then switched to a minivan, and eventually to a large van. However, one day, the tire of her big van fell off in the middle of her route. She then posted a plea on her local social media page for a large van or a short bus. Fortunately, she was able to secure a bus that had been abandoned due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The duo, who are also parents to a young infant named Vern, often post videos showcasing their daily routines and work in Skagway on various social media platforms. Thompson expressed that her spouse plays a crucial role in their successful balancing of work and parenting duties. She added that their dynamic would not be achievable if her partner had not been willing to contribute equally.

The video depicts adorable animals boarding a bus and settling into their seats, garnering more than 50 million views on TikTok thus far.

Thompson greets Jake with a cheerful “Good morning” in the video, and then secures him in a designated seat using a leash. Throughout the year, the couple continues to operate their puppy bus while occasionally taking on pet-sitting jobs. Thompson believes that their puppy bus brings joy to people and encourages them to train and exercise their own furry friends.
