Named Apollo and Adonis, she had them thoroughly checked by a veterinarian in Huntington, New York, and even screened for heartworms. Despite being in a new environment at the vet clinic, the duo refused to leave each other’s side. They huddled together, visibly frightened, but took comfort in each other’s company.

When asked how they could ever be separated, Droogmans expressed his concern shortly after rescuing the pair. Finding a home for two dogs who are inseparable can prove to be difficult.
