Meet Chowder, a delightful six-year-old purebred Chow Chow residing in Manila, Philippines. His adorable fluffiness and big snout have made him a viral sensation on the internet, with many people mistaking him for a huge teddy bear. Weighing in at around 20 kilograms, Chowder’s chubby face and furry coat make for an irresistible combination.
Chowder is often referred to as “Chowder the Bear Dog” due to his striking resemblance to a bear. He became an Instagram sensation from 2015 onwards, and his followers have grown exponentially since then. His adorable photos and videos are a major hit among his fans.
According to Bernice Lozano, the proud owner of Chowder, she never anticipated that her adorable pet would gain such a tremendous following. Whenever they’re at the mall, onlookers can’t resist stopping to admire Chowder and snap photos or shoot videos of him.
Bernice finds joy in the fact that his dog, Chowder, brings happiness to people. The most important thing for him is seeing the smiles on people’s faces when they meet Chowder. Bernice often hears people comment on how much Chowder resembles a teddy bear, which only adds to his delight.
Bernice explained that their parents gave him as a gift, and he has a striking resemblance to a bear. The grooming plays a significant role in it, but the color of his fur and the circular shape of his snout also contribute to his bear-like features.
