Born in November, Richie quickly gained popularity due to his owner sharing photos and videos of him on social media platforms.

When the owner was asked about how Richie came to be a part of their family, she shared that they had two stray cats who were with them for two decades and showered them with unconditional love. After their passing, they took their time in welcoming a new feline companion. Eventually, they discovered a local breeder who specialized in Maine coons and decided to book one. They picked a black smoke color without any inkling of how exceptional Richie would turn out to be. Upon his birth, the breeder noticed that Richie was going to be a very hairy cat. They patiently waited for four months until Richie was old enough to leave his mother and join his new family.
