While on her way to a store located in North Carolina, Välinda Cortez encountered a dog that was living in appalling conditions. The poor creature was drenched from the rain and had a face that depicted despair and surrender to life.
Valinda realized that immediate assistance was necessary upon seeing the young child. She expressed her concern, saying “I felt my heart sink as I stepped out of the car. The child had been exposed to a lot of rain and cold weather outside. She appeared to be at ease, but it was obvious that she had been left behind.”
A lady approached the dog and covered her with a blanket to keep her warm. She stayed with the canine for over an hour, attempting to win her trust.
Valinda reached out to her friend Sue Massi, who is responsible for rescuing stray animals in the city, as soon as the dog was prepared to be saved. Sue promptly collected the puppy and transported it to a shelter within 20 minutes.
According to Valinda, the person had disappointed Cassie in the past. Valinda believes that by providing Cassie with food, a warm blanket, and love, she will regain her trust in people. As a result, Cassie now looks happy and content. I can definitely sense an improvement in my mood when I see her joyful expression.
